Position Summary

iTekz is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Low Voltage Technician to join our team. This hands-on role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of commercial low voltage systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-service oriented, and eager to learn and grow in a dynamic industry. Occasional travel and after-hours work may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems and related components listed above.
  • Run and terminate cabling for new construction and retrofit projects.
  • Install and configure networking equipment and associated components.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and provide field service support.
  • Complete site surveys and assist in developing bills of materials (BOMs) for projects, when needed.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, project managers, and internal teams.
  • Read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Use meters and testing equipment associated with the trade.
  • Operate industry-standard power tools and equipment safely.
  • Uphold safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in low voltage systems installation and field service.
  • Strong troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair skills.
  • Professional appearance and strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience conducting site surveys and assembling BOMs is a plus.
  • Proficient with Apple and Windows OS computers and basic office/trade software.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to climb ladders/scaffolding, work at heights, and lift/carry 50+ lbs unassisted.
  • Industry certifications and automation control systems training are a plus.
  • Availability to work outside regularly scheduled hours on occasion.
Compensation: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
